Stage Star 2021

Now in its sixth year the Denman Stage Star has grown into one of the UK's leading creative hairdressing competitions. Stage Star seeks out the newest exciting hair platform artist from across the UK and Ireland and give them a chance to shine.

The growth of the competition and sheer calibre of entrants has led to Denman this year to seriously up the prize for winning the coveted Stage Star title.

For the second year, the 2021 winner will get to create their very own collection and present the looks live on stage! Photographed by British Hairdresser of the Year Award winning photographer Des Murray, the winner will be taken through how to create and present a collection form mood board to models and then get to photograph the collection and present it live on stage at a major hairdressing event.

The winner will also receive 1 year of education and creative guidance from world leading academy Allilon plus one-to-one sessions with Denman Ambassadors! And that's not all… the winner will also get to work with the Denman team on their creative shoots, attend prestigious industry events and gala dinners, work on product development and of course receive a comprehensive set of all Denman products and tools!

Your golden opportunity
If you’re one of four shortlisted finalists, you’ll get the chance to showcase your skills live on the HJ Main Stage at this year’s Salon International in front of a panel of industry experts and a packed live audience. In a live presentation, you’ll need to show you have the Preparation, Skills, Stage Presence, Creativity and the Denman Product Knowledge to warrant being crowned Denman Stage Star 2021.

All finalists will receive a comprehensive brief detailing all the requirements for the Competition presentation.

Important information

All entrants MUST:

• Be a qualified hairdresser over 21 years old working in the UK or Ireland – regardless of stage experience

• Be free to present on stage at Salon International on Monday 18th October

• Only use Denman products during the presentation at Salon International (kit will be provided)

• Be available for HJ Live next year (Dates TBC)



Terms & Conditions

• No entries will be accepted after Friday, 10th September 2021.

• Shortlisted finalists will be contacted Friday 17th September 2021

• Images, film clips and information submitted from those shortlisted may be used to promote the competition

• Any hairdresser making false career claims or submitting work that is not their own will be disqualified

• The decision of the judges/Denman is final

• Previous winners may not enter

• Previous finalists are welcome to enter
